The CNC programmer/operator is responsible for the manufacture of parts per specifications in an accurate and timely manner utilizing CNC machining centers and manual machining equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to set-up, program, and operate CNC machining centers as required
• Exhibit proficiency in CNC programming, comprehend G and M code language, and have a working knowledge of off-line programming software applications
• Read and interpret blueprints and setup sheets to assure accurate machining and tooling setup. Read and interpret CNC/NC program readouts
• Perform machine and tooling setups at a high level of efficiency and quality. Set up mills, drills, and/or lathes for the next job during present job. Perform de-burring, inspection, cleaning, etc. during machine cycle time to maximize machine usage
• Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and perform geometric, algebraic, and trigonometric calculations
• Regularly meets with manufacturing engineer to discuss potential tooling, fixturing, and process improvements

Education and/or Experience:

• Requires education generally equivalent to an Associate's degree
• Requires 3-5 years of machinist experience
