How you will make an impact:

Meissner Technical Services (MTS) provides laboratory testing, qualification and validation services to support our products in the breadth of customer applications. Be part of a state-of-the-art analytical lab, perform extractable testing (filters and Single Use Systems (SUS), prepare samples for GC-MS analysis, and more. This critical role supports quality, validation and R&D departments.

• Develop and maintain an analytical chemistry laboratory for extractables and leachables per BPOG / ASTM / USP guidelines.
• Building an extractable library for filter and SUS components.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis:
  • Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS)
  • Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP-MS)
  • Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FT-IR)
  • Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometer (LC-QTOF)
  • High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
  • Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC)
• Identification of targeted/untargeted extractables.
• Technical support for engineering projects (material testing, material selection etc.).
• SOP creation and maintenance.
• Report writing.
• Maintenance and purchase of Lab chemicals and equipment.
• Support customer audits.
• Present information and respond to technical questions from clients and customers.
• Develop and maintain knowledge base through participation in professional organizations such as PDA, ISPE, ASTM or others as appropriate. This may involve active participation, for example, in Task Forces as a Speaker, or as a Reviewer. It may involve more passive participation in forums such as PDA’s Pharm SciTech, ISPE’s Communities of Practice or PMF forums.

The skills and experience you’ll need:

• Bachelor's degree (BS) in analytical chemistry or related subject; and 5 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have strong aptitude to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures
• Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must have experience using instrumentation-related software applications. Experience with Agilent platforms preferred.

US BASE PAY SCALE $96,100 - $108,100/yr

The base pay scale for this role is what Meissner reasonably expects to pay for the position although actual pay may vary from this scale depending on an applicant's experience.
