**1,000 sign on bonus***Dietitians are an essential part of a patient’s eating disorder treatment team at Living Hope. They work along side team members including physicians, practice managers, therapists, nurses, technicians, and administration. All Staff Dietitians will work under the supervision of the Lead Dietitian or an assigned Supervisor, as well as the Medical Director and Practice Manager. At Living Hope, Staff Dietitians perform the following expected duties, and may also be required to perform duties outside of this list if directed by managers or supervisors:

General:

- Collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team as mentioned above. This includes treatment team meetings scheduled once per week, and also collaboration outside of this meeting for patient care.

- Charting/documenting will be completed within one week of seeing a patient, having a treatment team meeting, or holding a group. Group notes and individual notes will follow the format of the dietitian note templates, with some flexibility in individual session notes.

- Conduct community outreach including social media outreach, providing in-services, and attending conferences.

- Dietitians are required to be licensed by the State of Oklahoma, and meet all qualifications for continued licensure, or be eligible for licensure (provisionally licensed), see below in qualifications.

Individual Patient Care:

- Team: Treatment team meetings with a patient will be scheduled on an as-needed basis to review progress. The patient, family (optional, but preferred), patient’s physician, therapist, and dietitian will be present at the meeting. The dietitian may request a meeting to be scheduled through physician and administration.

- Sessions: Provide assessments, nutritional counseling, Medical Nutrition Therapy and nutritional education to eating disorder patients on an individual basis, as frequently as the patient’s level of care requires. (Ie. Once per week at an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)/
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) level, and varying amounts in the outpatient level).

- Treatment Plans: Creating individual treatment plans for IOP/PHP level patients and updating these with each change of level of care.

- Meal Plans: Dietitians prescribe and make changes to patient meal plans prn. Dietitians are expected to screen patients for risk of refeeding syndrome and counsel patients who at risk accordingly with a refeeding syndrome prevention meal plan.

- Outreach: Collaborate with patient’s support system (per signed release of information by the patient) via in-session, over the phone or email communication, as needed. For patients under
18, collaboration with guardians will be a necessity part of treatment. Coordinating care with a patient’s former dietitian or other treatment if applicable, per release of information signed.
Coordinating follow-on care with patients future treatment team if leaving treatment facility.

- Planning: Assist patients in meal planning by creating a menus and planning groceries.

- Levels/Evaluation: Reviewing each patient’s level of care, and recommending changes in level of care.

- Creating a relapse prevention plan with the patient and helping them meet nutritional goals at a new level.

- Monitoring: Reviewing, documenting and adjusting meal and snack completion via food journals and meal completion records during group (if a group patient).

- Vitals: Taking patient weight and height (as needed) before the session and recording this in dietitian note; this role may be shared by the front desk technician.

Group Patient Care:

- Groups: Provide nutritional education and nutritional counseling for group sessions at IOP and
PHP. Expect as many as four to seven groups per week.

- Family Groups: Dietitians will be required to lead three to five family groups per year. These are to be offered once per month at the treatment facility. Expect patients to bring friends and family members to the session.

- Leading therapeutic meals and snacks during group sessions. Redirecting patients to complete their meal or snack if needed, providing supplementation if needed, as well as processing the meal at the end.

- Planning weekly menus and placing grocery orders for the clinic.

- Labeling and monitoring food supply.

- Leading cooking group once per week.

- Leading a grocery outing group once per week.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: All dietitians shall, at a minimum:

Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; and have completed a dietetic internship.
Experience: Eating Disorder experience preferred. 2 years dietetic experience preferred.

Age-Specific Competencies: Children , Adolescents & Adults.

Licensure/Certification: All practicing dietitians at Living Hope EDTC shall meet both of the following credentialing criteria with licensure defined as possessing a valid and current license issued by the state of Oklahoma:

Be registered by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or scheduled to take the board to earn their RD credentials
Be license-eligible according to state law and working toward licensure. If not yet licensed, practice under the supervision of a licensed dietitian and have a current provisional license
Other/Preferred Skills: Written and oral communication skills; proficient time management; skills in maintaining information as highly confidential, and following the regulations set by
HIPAA; ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation; ability to complete required documentation in a timely, accurate manner that is clinically appropriate and within expected timeframes, skills in conflict resolution in a group setting; ability to work as a team player; motivation to continue to learn as the field updates recommendations for best practice.
