The Quality Technician is responsible for technical support to the Quality Assurance Department and Inspection personnel. The position requires a technical background sufficient to assist in procedure development, drawing reviews and provide joint technical interface between Engineering and Manufacturing and coordinates with Purchasing for Supply Chain quality compliance."
" Statistical process control (SPC) and Lean manufacturing implementation.
" Knowledge of military and commercial specifications for materials, pumps/compressors, protective finishing, heat treating, and non-destructive testing.
" ASME Y14.5M (dimensioning and tolerancing), ANSI/ASQC Z1.4 (sampling procedures and tables for inspection by attributes), MIL-STD-100 (engineering drawing practices), ANSI/NCSL Z540-3 (calibration systems requirements), FED-STD-H28 (screw thread standards). Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
