**Job Designation**

The successful candidate will perform molding, bonding and assembly operations in support of production contracts to include aerospace grade plastic and composite materials. Employee will work independently and in a team environment under moderate guidance and in accordance with company policy and safety procedures to acheive productivity goals. Communicates with the Engineer/Project Manager on a daily basis.

**Job Core Responsibilities**

* Layup and cure composite parts using prepreg fabric, Carbon-Fiber and Resins, SMC, BMC and dry materials.

* Assemble, demold, and bond components and parts. Prepare parts and perform bonding and finishing by filling, sanding, grinding, and cleaning. Fit components by cutting, deburring, trimming and hand working materials.

* Conducts inspections of own and/or other associates work to insure correctness in accordance with company and/or customer drawing

* Applies process specifications governing the production of product within an assigned cell, records production time and quantity data.

* Maintains work area under company guidelines and participates in events as required

* May operate light machinery such as sand blaster, buffing wheel and/or hydraulic presses.

* Actively demonstrates all safety policies and procedures

* Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.

* Assists with training and development.

* Other responsibilities as assigned

**Job Specifications**

**Education**: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is preferred.

**Certifications**: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field

**Years Experience**: 5-7 years of manufacturing experience

**Skills**:

* Able to operate a variety of hand tools and machinery

* Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures.

* Capable of solving problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures.

* Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts

* Effective oral and written communication skills.

* Attention to details.

* Ability to lift up to 45 lbs, intermittently.

* Site to site travel possible

* Computer skills a plus (MS Office provicent)
