Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the direction of production assembly of components and assemblies of a moderate degree of complexity, requiring on the part of the assemblers good dexterity with hand tools and the ability to work to moderately close tolerances or with parts or components which require special care in handling. The work in these assembly operations is typically not highly repetitive, although the cycle of repetition may be short enough to allow the development of some habit patterns. Subordinate assemblers are able to work from detail blueprints or other input documents of similar complexity and may make minor procedural decisions in their work, within established guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
" Provides direction for Assembly shop personnel
" Monitor assigned work in process, including sub-assemblies, top assemblies, and ATP's
" Monitor all assembly personnel for adherence to assembly procedures, including AWI's and MFWI's.
" Verify that all appropriate tooling and paperwork, i.e. drawings, specifications, ATP's procedures, work orders, etc. are available at the work station.
" Emphasize 6S which includes safety and SQDIP which includes but not limited to, cleanliness by maintaining organized work stations and verifying that appropriate safety equipment PPE is being used properly.
" Maintain Quality, Productivity, and overall performance of assembly operations by completing weekly assignments as scheduled by MO's and verbal instructions.
" Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks.
" Insure the timely processing of in process and final inspection work.
" Immediately report to your supervisor any infractions of any safety or department/company rule or injury.
" Verify that time sheets are completed correctly and on a daily basis.
" Report all failures and discrepant parts to your supervisor.
" Respond to Internal Corrective Actions Requests (ICAR's) that relate to your assigned area of responsibility and review corrective action with your supervisor.
" Train shop personnel as required per MFWI-2000-044.
" Update supervisor of problems and/or discrepancies affecting production schedule.
" Must be a US Person: US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES
" Coordinate facility maintenance requests.
" Assists in the moving of equipment or furniture as required to support non-standard company functions.
" Drive company van in support of parts pick up or delivery to support assembly operations.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 7 years related experience and/or training. Must understand precision assembly of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic units which includes but not limited to some drilling, riveting, installation of fasteners and fittings, torqueing and bench testing per drawings, AWI's, ATPS and other specifications. Machine Shop knowledge a plus.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $25.19/hour min to $37.78/hour max.
