Meeting Street is currently looking for a Reimbursement Specialist in Early Intervention working 40 hours weekly.

Duties: 

  • Reviews referral information, forms, and other billing information received to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Confirms client benefits have been verified prior to entering bills and monitors ongoing eligibility verification.
  • Maintains EI Client Billing Database.
  • Verifies/retrieves benefit coverage and authorizations.
  • Reviews and corrects EI data via MH EVS System.
  • Enters EI insurance information to EICS system.
  • Handles telephone inquiries to insurance companies.
  • Maintains knowledge of DPH billing rules and regulations.
  • Produces reports for administrative team.
  • Submits claims with required documentation to payers; including paper and electronic claims.
  • Establishes good rapport and cooperative working relationships with agency personnel as well as referral sources and third party payer contacts.
  • Initiates continuous process improvements both in area of own responsibility and in related areas

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in third party billing/collections required.
  • Prior experience in a health care environment.
  • Knowledge of electronic claims processing.
  • Ability to work independently
