The Manager of Talent Acquisition plays a crucial role in our organization's growth by leading the recruitment and talent acquisition efforts. This position is responsible for attracting, selecting, and hiring top talent that aligns with our organization's goals and values. This position requires a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The Manager of Talent Acquisition develops and executes talent acquisition strategies with a focus on maintaining robust talent pipelines.

This position is located at our Corporate Office in Indianapolis, IN

Responsibilities

Leadership 

  • Visionary Strategist: Demonstrates a clear vision for the talent acquisition function and aligns strategies with organizational goals and industry trends.
  • Team Builder: Builds and leads a high-performing talent acquisition team by providing mentorship, coaching, and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Innovative Thinker: Encourages creative thinking and stays updated on emerging recruitment technologies and methods to enhance the hiring process.
  • Effective Communicator: Communicates expectations, objectives, and feedback clearly to both the talent acquisition team and hiring managers, ensuring alignment and understanding.
  • Change Champion: Embraces and guides the team through changes and adapts recruitment strategies as the business environment evolves.
  • Results-Oriented: Sets and tracks key performance metrics and continuously seeks opportunities for improvement in recruitment processes, candidate experience, and team performance.

Talent

  • Talent Pipeline Development: Lead the development and maintenance of robust talent pipelines by proactively identifying and engaging with potential candidates, ensuring a continuous flow of qualified talent for current and future needs.
  • Industry Trend Analysis: Stay current with the latest trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in talent acquisition, and apply this knowledge to enhance recruitment strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Innovative Sourcing Methods: Implement innovative sourcing methods and technologies to attract top talent and improve the efficiency of the recruitment process.

Collaboration

  • Strategic Partnering: Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with hiring managers, department heads, HRBPs, and key stakeholders to understand their talent needs and align recruitment strategies accordingly.
  • External Relationships: Cultivate and expand relationships with external partners, such as recruitment agencies, job boards, universities, and industry associations, to access diverse talent pools.
  • Innovative Alliances: Identify and explore innovative partnerships and alliances that can enhance the organization's talent acquisition efforts, including technology solutions and employer branding initiatives.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with local communities, professional networks, and industry events to enhance the organization's visibility and reputation as an employer of choice.

Program Management  

  • Coordinate all facets of the recruiting process, ensuring that the process is efficient, timely, and qualitative.
  • Manage Associate Referral Program.
  • Develop and maintain key performance metrics and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies, including time-to-fill and source effectiveness, providing data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
  • Provide accurate reporting and consistent analysis across a key range of talent related metrics and objectives 
  • Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required 

License/Certification:

  •  PHR or SPHR preferred 

Experience:

  • 8 years of progressive experience in the field of talent acquisition, with at least 3 years in a managerial role required 
  • Experience with an automated applicant tracking system (ATS) required 
  • Knowledge of current recruiting trends and employment practices required
  • Experience recruiting technical skilled roles preferred 
  • Knowledge of HR Recruiting processes and programs preferred 
  • Experience defining metrics to measure achievements preferred 
  • Experience managing stakeholders within and outside of HR that impacts the talent strategy preferred 
  • Experience leading a recruiting team 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of recruitment practices, trends, and legal compliance
  • Creative and innovative approach to sourcing and attracting top talent
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficient in using ATS and HRIS software. UKG PRO and iCIMS preferred.
  • Ability to interpret workforce analytics and market trends to inform recruitment strategies
  • Experience in managing third-party vendors and maintaining productive partnerships
  • Ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving recruitment goals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinking and leadership skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
