Medway Public Schools is seeking to fill the following position for the 2024-2025 school year:OUT OF DISTRICT COORDINATOR (0.5 FTE)REPORTS TO:Superintendent and Director of Student ServicesJOB GOAL:To work with the Director of Student Services to manage the education of students who are serviced in schools outside of Medway Public Schools.QUALIFICATIONS:Massachusetts licensure and 5 years experience as a special education teacher or psychologist; supervisor/director license required.Knowledge/experience in out-of-district programming, including working with outside agencies such as DMH, DCF, DDS, etc.Excellent oral and written communication and organization skills.Strong skills in analysis, budgeting, collaborative problem solving and conflict resolution.Familiarity with Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Power Point) and the DESE Security Portal.Knowledge of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find acceptable.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Serve as the LEA (Local Educational Agency) and point of contact, in collaboration with the Director of Student Services for students who attend Out of District placements.Support IEP Teams with recommendations for Out of District placements or services.Attend all IEP Team meetings for students who attend Out of District Placements.Perform site visits of Out of District schools.Performs additional duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services.Performs additional duties as assigned by the Superintendent.Interested applicants are asked to submit resume, transcripts, and three references via School Spring.
