We are looking for: Surgery Veterinary Credentialed Technician

4-10 hour shifts Monday-Friday between the hours of 7am and 7pm

Our Surgery team is a fast-paced environment, perfect for technicians that are looking for training in multiple facets of the department and interaction with the other teams in the hospital. This team requires strong communication skills to liaison between surgeons and clients and deliver post-operative care instructions.
What you’ll do:

  • Manage appointments, obtain patient histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etc
  • Fill medications, enter charges and maintain accurate medical records, schedule appointments
  • Create patient releases, navigate client conversations around treatment plans and financial obligations
  • Prep patients for surgery, including shaving, scrubbing and positioning, assist with intubation and radiographs
  • Proficiently perform blood draws and submit bloodwork
  • Ensure documentation is accurate and complete
  • Opening, turning over and cleaning operating rooms, as well as cleaning instruments and wrapping packs

Who are you:

  • State Registered Veterinary Technician license required
  • Anesthesia experience required
  • Prior veterinary experience required, previous surgery experience desired
  • Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
  • Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

ob Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our animal care team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing high-quality care for our animal patients and support the veterinarians in delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in routine examinations, surgeries, and treatments
- Perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood counts
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian
- Monitor and care for animals post-surgery or treatment
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
- Handle animals with care and compassion during procedures

Qualifications:
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant preferred
- Experience in animal care, handling, and restraint
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Knowledge of veterinary critical care procedures
- Familiarity with equine, dog training, pet grooming, and kennel operations is a plus
