Job Summary:
Must speak Spanish and English Fluently
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dispatcher to join our team. As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching non-emergency medical transport calls to drivers, brokers and patients. Your excellent communication skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and prioritize incoming calls from various sources using a VOIP desktop browser
- Gather necessary information from callers to determine the nature of the situation
- Dispatch appropriate drivers, constantly monitor vehicle locations and driver positions
- Call patients in advance to alert them to driver location and time of pick up
- Monitor and track the status of each ongoing trip of the day
- Provide clear and concise instructions to patients for their pick up, their pick up location
- Communicate with driver and vehicle to ensure their safety and provide necessary updates
- Utilize computer software systems for data entry and record keeping and dispatching
- Call next day patients to confirm their reservations
- Handle conflicts or difficult situations with professionalism and tact
Requirements:
-Is proactive not reactive
-strong leadership skills type A personality
-Is comfortable being succinct in phone calls, and giving short concise instructions
-Fluent in Spanish and English
- Previous experience in dispatching, call center, or customer service roles preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions
- Proficient in using phone systems, online software systems, web based VOIP.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
- Ability to type quickly and accurately
- Knowledge of conflict management techniques
