As an Addiction Recovery Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients, promoting their overall health and well-being. This unique setting allows you to encounter a diverse range of health concerns, from minor ailments to complex and atypical conditions. Plus, you'll be making a difference in the lives of individuals who often lack consistent access to healthcare.
Position Overview:The RNs & LPN plans, directs, and coordinates medically-approved programs for patients in hospitals, nursing homes, substance abuse facilities, or other institutions. Specific responsibilities include:
- Assessing the physiological and behavioral health status of the patient.
- Completing initial assessments and developing care plans.
- Recognizing and acting upon deviations in diagnostic studies.
- Accurately assessing and documenting vital signs and signs of pain.
- Communicating and documenting the client’s psychosocial status.
- Collaborating with the treatment team to determine appropriate treatment/discharge plans.
- Assisting the client in understanding the disease of addiction and the need for treatment.
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and patients.
- Completing necessary documentation as required by organization policies.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Administering medications according to organization policy.
- Verifying medication administration records for correctness.
- Monitoring behavioral changes related to medication administration.
- Providing high-quality service to patients and the public.
Education and Experience:
- State Registered Nurse and Practical Nursing license required.
- One year of experience in a behavioral hospital is desirable, but recent graduates may apply.
- Knowledge of healthcare, detoxification processes, addiction, co-occurring disorders, and DSM Criteria.
- Ability to read, interpret written information, and write clearly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Work Environment:This job operates in a professional office environment, utilizing standard office equipment. The noise level is usually moderate.
Physical Demands:The employee will regularly talk or hear and frequently use their hands to handle objects and perform various tasks. Occasional standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling may be required. The employee must occasionally lift objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities are necessary.

- Shifts: Days (7a-7:30p) and Nights (7p-7:30a)
- New grads are welcome!
- Pay for LPNS IS 27.00 AND RNs Pay is 35.00
Responsibilities:Responsibilities: As an Addiction Recovery Nurse, you will deliver direct and individualized nursing care within the Recovery Facility. Your duties include:
- Collaborating with primary care providers and healthcare professionals to ensure quality and timely patient care.
- Coordinating and administering medication, therapeutic agents, and treatments.
- Assisting physicians with medical treatments and procedures.
- Applying surgical dressings and bandages.
- Providing emergency first aid care.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs.
- Collecting specimens for diagnostic testing.
- Reporting reactions to treatments and medications, as well as changes in the patient's condition.
- Providing patient education and discharge planning.
- Recording all care information accurately and concisely.
- Promoting a therapeutic environment that upholds professional and ethical care.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with individuals with special needs.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must have a 2-step TB Skin Test.
- COVID vaccinated or exempt.
- Two forms of ID.
- Ability to complete a background check and drug screen.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
