As a program manager in the Medtronic Clinical and Regulatory Solutions (MCRS) – Strategic PMO team you will be responsible for leading programs and projects from inception to implementation, identifying cost savings, collecting, and coordinating KPIs/metrics, ensuring buy-in from and informing key stakeholders and Medtronic best practices including using business intelligence to drive meaningful change.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Work across the Medtronic Clinical and Regulatory enterprise and adjacent functional partners by offering a variety of services: Program & Project Management, Process Improvement, Value Stream Excellence, Project Management Training & Coaching, Strategic Planning Facilitation, Council/COE Facilitation, Kaizen Facilitation, and MPS/Green Belt coaching.
  • Oversee and lead a portfolio of projects and disseminates status to key stakeholders as the program/project manager.
  • Plan, perform, and implement process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma).
  • Diagram and evaluate existing processes identifying waste and finding opportunities for efficiencies.
  • Collect and analyse data to identify root cause of problems leveraging business intelligence and other analytical tools to accomplish this task.
  • Use data driven results for operational decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Define and drive realization of opportunities for efficiencies, quality, and compliance improvements.
  • Organize and facilitates meetings across program and project teams, and with senior leadership including delivering presentations.
  • Organize, lead, and facilitate cross-functional program and project teams.
  • Develop KPI/metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of project/program management experience (or advanced degree with 3 years)
  • Experience as a Program Manager at Medtronic or medical device industry in Clinical Research or Clinical/Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Quality, Engineering, Health Care
Nice to Have
  • Experience managing projects in a global scope working with cross-functional teams
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)/RMP certification
  • Certification as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Green Belt Certification

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
