The IT Audit Manager is a seasoned professional responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing IT audit activities within the Corporate Audit team.They will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, assess and mitigate IT-related risks.This is a people manager position, and requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities and a deep understanding of IT controls and processes.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Effectively collaborate with colleagues and business partners in various departments and operating units. Conduct complex conversations with audit stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.• Operate in an independent and organized manner, managing multiple projects and escalating issues promptly.• Plan and lead risk assessments with organizational leaders to gather insights for the dynamic audit plan.• Lead reviews (audit, advisory, and integrated) throughout the entire audit process, identifying control gaps and proposing solutions. This includes designing and implementing control frameworks to ensure efficient risk management and IT controls.• Create clear and concise audit reports and presentations for senior management and the audit committee. • Oversee third-party engagement for IT SOX testing.• Monitor open audit issues and support timely remediation. • Lead projects in accordance with department standard operating procedures, as well as International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. • Lead team members on general audit processes, technology, and department operations. Assists them in meeting their job requirements. This includes providing ongoing recognition, coaching, and performance reviews. • Stay current with emerging technology trends, industry standards, and regulatory changes to proactively align audit strategies and practices.• Contribute to learning and development opportunities, including acquiring CPE hours and taking on challenging projects for continuous improvement.• Understand the Medtronic and Audit mission to drive innovation, accelerate change, and embrace diversity and inclusion. Individuals will set challenging goals, enable operational excellence, maintain accountability, and model ethical behavior.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s plus 5 years of practical experience in IT Audit or Information Technology. 

Nice to Have
• Certified as a CPA, CISA, CIPT, CIA, and/or CISSP.• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, information systems, or accounting.• Direct or indirect people management experience.• Strong oral and written communication skills to prepare and communicate materials to executive stakeholders.• Public accounting (preferably Big 4) or equivalent experience in a public company Internal Audit department• Experience with accounting principles, audit procedures and techniques, and internal controls.• Proficiency in using audit software and data analytics tools (e.g., PowerBI)• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices, such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, and NIST frameworks.• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, GDPR) related to IT systems and data protection.• Understanding of IT systems (e.g., SAP, GRC, Hyperion) and infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and databases.• Familiarity with IT risks surrounding cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, medical device security, big data, vendor management, IT governance, social media, etc.About MedtronicTogether, we can change healthcare worldwide. The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
