MedTran is a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) company. We are locally owned and operated right here in Spokane! We transport clients to their appointments and back home. We are mainly known for specializing in wheelchair transportation! We are team-oriented, fast-paced (safely) and competitive, Our goal is to provide safe quality transportation and friendly service for our community! We are seeking a full-time NEMT driver to join our awesome team! Our Hours of operation are 8:00AM - 6:00 PM M-F weekends are for family! To apply you must have a valid Washington drivers license, clean driving record and be able to pass a DOT drug screening and mandatory criminal background. Must have knowledge on use of iPhone. Did we mention we offer a sign on BONUS!!!

Responsibilities for NEMT Driver

• Effectively communicate with dispatcher regarding cancelations or minor set backs
• Understand operate GPS/ iPhone
• Complete daily. vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness inside and out.
• Report all mechanical issues either on maintenance log or with dispatcher
• Assist clients as needed to safely enter and exit the vehicle and to and from their destinations.
• Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road construction as needed

Physical Demands

• Physical ability to sit for extended periods of time, walking, pushing/pulling, stooping, bending, reaching, twisting and lifting 50 pounds.
• The ability to maneuver 300 pounds (passenger and wheelchair) over a 6' curb and up a typical wheelchair ramps.
• This position requires finger dexterity, sense of touch, gripping with fingers and hands, ability to see and to hear voice conversations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 25 years old
• Must have a valid Washington State Drivers license
• Must NOT have more than 2 moving violation within 3 years
• Must pass a DOT drug screening
• Must pass a mandatory criminal background check
• Prefered 2 years NEMT driving experience
• High School diploma or GED

Pay

• $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
