ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Score Function

_____ 1. Coordinates Occupational Health and Wellness Programs

a. Works with Business Development Specialist to market programs to corporations.

b. Develops corporate wellness programs for industry

_____ 2. Onsite Services

  • Schedules all onsite services for occupational health and wellness services.

  • Coordinates staffing for onsite services

  • Orders and prepares supplies for onsite services.

  • Ensure that MedStat/KCH is represented onsite in a professional manner through the quality of the service and the conduct of the staff.

  • Coordinates with billing staff that all services are being charged for and then billed out to the correct company.

  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for onsite services.

  • Ensures all staff are competent to perform all services being provided and know all necessary procedures.

_____ 3. Management of Information

  • Communicates and reports the necessary results of the onsite services to the appropriate individuals (employer or employee) in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for following HIPAA guidelines when reporting results out to appropriate individuals. Assures appropriate documentation is obtained to release results.

  • Collaborates with the provision and reporting of immunization and exposure monitoring programs. Keeping within guidelines of state board of health, CDC, OSHA, department of health regulations and department policy.

_____ 4. Maintains proficiency and certifications ensuring they are kept in the following:

  • First Aid/CPR Instructor

  • CAOCH

  • DATIA

  • BAT

  • Health Coach

  • Fit Test

  • Spirometry

_____ 5. Random Drug Program

  • Maintains MedStat’s random consortium

  • Ensures randoms are selected appropriately per federal guidelines based on modality in appropriate time intervals.

  • Coordinates all necessary communication to the DER ensuring they receive results in a timely manner.

_____ 6. Health Risk Assessment Program

  • System Administrator

  • Trains staff and companies on software program

_____ 7. Corporate and Community Health Fairs

  • Coordinate Staffing

  • Coordinate services

  • Coordinate with marketing on handouts and marketing materials

  • Coordinate with KCH departments on booths we can offer

_____ 8. Supervises Case Management and Onsite Service Staff

  • Assists Manager in hiring, evaluations and discipline up to and including discharge.

  • Directs staff to follow MedStat and KCH policy, procedures, and protocols.

  • Rounds with staff.

______ 9. Maintains proficiency in laboratory skills. Works directly with lab for corporate events ensuring proper specimen transport and lab billing.

_____ 10. Onsite/Nearsite Clinic Liaison

  • Oversees online appointment schedule: system administrator, trains staff and companies on software program

  • Regularly meets with companies to address concerns and make sure companies have everything they need for their employees.

  • Develops marketing plan for clinics based off of employers needs and clinic needs.

  • Develops and produces employee welcome packets and monthly flyers.

  • Other Duties, Responsibilities, Patient Safety

  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Assists in emergency situation/procedures including CPR and use of AED.

  • Establishes and maintains a clean safe environment for patient, families, and corporations.

  • Observes all safety and hygiene rules, follows departmental dress code.

  • Attends required meetings and participates in team assignments in order to meet requirements for corporate, hospital, and MedStat needs.

  • The associate will hold in confidence any and all patient information communicated or stored using any medium including oral communication. In addition, the associate will seek to protect patient information from inadvertent use or disclosure by adhering to corporate, hospital, and MedStat policies.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education:

Must be a high school graduate who successfully completed formal post-high school education (see licensure)

Experience:

Three to five years experience in health promotions and wellness profession preferred. Experience in a corporate or community setting preferred. If an RN or LPN two to three years experience in clinical nursing preferred. Phlebotomy proficiency preferred.

Licensure:

RN, LPN license in the state of Indiana or Exercise Physiologist

Must maintain current BLS certification.

Valid Drivers License

Other:

Exposure Control Level: _X__ 1 ____ 2 ____ 3

Good customer relations.

Good computer skills required.

Must have good verbal and written communication skills in order to instruct clients and maintain effective contacts with a variety of hospital and community personnel.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs and assist with 100 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions due to patient contact (contagious viruses, bacteria, etc.)
