Unit Highlights
Pre-Op nurses at MWHC are responsible for ensuring that the patients enter the operating room safely in order to promote optimal outcomes. In the Main OR, pre-op nurses service a variety of patient populations which include cardiac, neurosurgery, urology, orthopedics, oral maxillary, gynecology, endocrine, and the list goes on! Pre-op nurses not only service the OR but they also work with the anesthesia pain service to assist with pain management for surgical and non-surgical patients throughout the hospital. Our team is comprised of motivated, compassionate team members who are dedicated to the SPIRIT Values of MWHC.Ultimately, the Pre-Op nurse serves as a patient advocate who carries the responsibility of ensuring a great patient experience both clinically and emotionally.

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plansappropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications
ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
Active RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
