MedStar Health has an immediate opportunity for a part-time (24 hours per week) Pharmacist to join their retail/outpatient location on the campus of MedStar Franklins Square Medical Center. The primary hours for this position are 1 pm - 6 pm Monday - Friday, with rotating weekends.

Evaluates drugs prescribed by physicians for appropriateness of dose, therapeutic efficacy, allergy, drug interaction, and contraindications; processes prescriptions through insurance company and handles DUR rejects, pre-authorizations, etc.; performs final check on all prescriptions, ensuring accurate input, labeling, and dispensing; and, provides counseling and drug information to patients and physicians.
