MedStar Health Phlebotomy Speclty Tech maybe utilized in the following settings: out-patient, in-patient and outreach(i.e. nursing homes, assisted living and hospital organized outreachopportunities) and on-call. Performs all aspects of phlebotomy functions andspecimen collections to include venous and capillary collections and/or glucosetesting, while following the proper standards and practices. Verifies patientinsurance and performs basic data entry to register and accession in and/orout-patient orders while complying with the MedStar Laboratory Compliance Plan.
