MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital has an immediate opportunity for an emergency medicine or critical care trained Clinical Pharmacist to join our patient-focused Emergency Department team in Baltimore, MD. The expected schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 12:30 - 9 pm and includes rotating weekends. Current PGY-2s welcome to apply now for consideration to join the team in summer of 2024.
Collaborates and consults with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficacious and cost-effective prescribing, dispensing, administration and monitoring of medication in the provision of pharmaceutical care. In so doing, the pharmacist must have current, specialized drug knowledge and demonstrate judgment, communication skills, self-direction and motivation to affect positive interventions in patient outcomes. Participates in educational programs, as necessary, to provide basic and advanced services of the Pharmacy Department.
Minimum Requirements: 
Education: Doctoral degree PharmD from an accredited college of Pharmacy required or an equivalent Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of Pharmacy required
Experience: PGY-1 or 3 years of direct patient care experience in a hospital setting required
Licenses and Certifications: RPH - Registered Pharmacist licensure in Maryland required at time of hire. Board certification required within 1 year of eligibility.
