General Summary of PositionThe incumbent in this position assists with all invasive cardiovascular procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Bachelor's of Science preferred
• Appropriate IV insertion and EKG training

Experience

• Minimum of six months as a Cardiovascular Technologist. Additional cardiology exposure desirable or similar/related job experience.

Licenses and Certifications

• RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Upon Hire or RCVT - Registered Cardiovascular Tech Upon Hire or PRT - Practical Radiology Technician Upon Hire

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Current knowledge and techniques in Cath Lab, knowledge of cardiology meds, EKG monitoring, starting IV's, must be able to act quickly and remain calm in stressful and emergency situations.
