What you will be doing as a Compliance Specialist at MedSpeed:

  • Responsible for self-identifying, reporting, developing, and implementing solutions for operational risks.
  • Prepares, manages, and ensures timely filing of government reporting related to EEO-1, State Pay Data Reporting,
    and other mandatory reports.
  • Partner with legal and other agencies in responding to subpoenas, wage and hour claims and record requests for
    employment records.
  • Partner with Director of Talent and HR Managers regarding wage/hour laws ensuring compliance with employee
    classifications and wage and benefit standards across a multi-state environment.
  • Develop, maintain, and update HR policies and procedures, including the employee handbook, SOP manuals, org
    chart, job descriptions, labor posters, etc.
  • Develops project and change management plans to implement new policies and practices to accommodate business
    change and new local regulations
  • Oversees critical project management roles within HR for a period of time.
  • Utilizes HRIS to collect, model, and analyze data. Identify key people trends and insights using HR analytics and
    external best practices to develop customized and well-informed tactics for driving desired behaviors and business
    outcomes
  • Monitors possible areas of HR-related compliance risk and implements plans to resolve current and potential
    problems. Complete audit requests as needed.
  • Leads associated initiatives, including creating communications, process and procedure guides, training materials,
    and other change management mechanisms to educate stakeholders on new and revised policies, processes, and
    programs.

What you need to become a MedSpeed Compliance Specialist:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5-7 years of HR and payroll compliance experience, including documenting processes and procedures, compliance
    reporting, and supporting audits.
  • SHRM Certification, HR Compliance related certification preferred
  • Ability to make good decisions based on analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment
  • Demonstrated success with developing and delivering practical procedural training and guidance to others
  • Proven ability to define objectives, establish priorities, and perform multiple assignments simultaneously within
    defined procedures and deadlines
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and auditing skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external partners
  • Self-starter, able to work independently, utilizing resources to find answers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products and HRIS system experience (UKG-Workforce Ready preferred)
