This full-time (with a competitive rate and comprehensive benefits package) position will allow you to work collaboratively with a supportive team of therapists and nursing staff in an environment built on integrity and progressive, ethical care.
Job Summary: The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will provide direct patient care services under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT). The PTA will be responsible for documenting patient treatments, changes in condition and other pertinent information as required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
o Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
o Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to Physical Therapist
o Implements and modifies the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment with PT supervision
o Measures & records patient's motor function, strength, and muscle performance
o Monitors patient responses to treatments and makes modifications during treatment sessions as necessary
o Completes documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations
Skills:
o SNF/Long term care experience preferred
o Current knowledge of treatment practices
o Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
o Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
Required licensure:
o Current License as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Must be in good standing.
