The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for managing all financial aspects of the MedPharm Operations. This includes financial planning, tracking cash flow, analyzing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses, and proposing corrective actions. They also collaborate with senior and site leadership to make strategic financial decisions and drive the company's overall financial strategy. What are we looking for? We are looking for a CFO with strong financial acumen, leadership skills, and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in developing and implementing financial strategies, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Integrity and a commitment to ethical behavior are also essential. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required, with advanced degrees such as an MBA or CPA preferred. Position Summary Position title: Chief Financial Officer Reports to: Chief Executive Officer Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team
Ensure that all MedPharm Finance is appropriately resourced, that personnel are trained, developed, and assessed in line with company goals.
Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO/president and members of the executive management team
Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting
Advising on long-term business and financial planning
Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
Reviewing all formal finance, HR and IT related procedures
Lead the annual budgeting process.
Periodically report on performance of MedPharm Finance to senior team and the Board
Duties include:
Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans Develop financial and tax strategies
Lead the capital request and budgeting processes
Develop performance measures and monitoring systems that support the company's strategic direction
Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team
Manage the accounting, FP&A, legal, tax, and treasury departments
Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations
Manage any third parties to which accounting or finance functions have been outsourced
Oversee the company's transaction processing systems
Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisition
Oversee the issuance of financial information
Report financial results to the board of directors
Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile
Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry
Construct and monitor reliable internal control systems
Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
Ensure that the company complies with all financial, legal and regulatory requirements
Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
Report risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors
Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
Actively manage the company cash balances and cash forecasts
Maintain banking relationships
Represent the company with investment bankers and investors
Any other duties as assigned
Candidate Requirements Education
Bachelors degree and advanced certification (CPA) with 10 years of management experience
Experience/Traits/Skills
Must have a meticulous approach to work and be highly organized
Good communication skills both written and oral
Must be able to multitask, manage time efficiently and be able to prioritize
Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
