Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical

Patient Types:

• General Med/Surg
• Pre- and post-op surgical recovery patients
• Diabetics, kidney and liver failure, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory patients

Patient Ratios:

• 1:4 day to 1:5-7 night (acuity based)

Start Date: ASAP

2 weeks from offer

• 12-hour shifts - 36 hours per week
• Shift: Night
• Weekend Rotation: Every other
• Holiday Rotation: Every other

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols and laws.
• Documen patient care accurately.
• Develop individualized care plans and providing guidance to patients and families.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Offer clinical expertise to support colleagues and departments.
• Use critical thinking to ensure patient safety and escalate concerns when necessary.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience on Med/Surg units
• Must be flexible working in all Med/Surg units.
• RN, BLS active
• Must have experience with various drips such as, (cardiac gtts, heparin gtt, insulin gtt, poss).
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.

Salary:

$60/hr - $62/hr

Contract Length:

13 weeks extensions
