Overview

We are seeking BC Neonatologists to help on a Per Diem basis with our neonatology practice at St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital in Utica, New York.

Responsibilities

• Flexible work schedule, can work around your availability
• Our 10-bed, Level-II NICU has approximately 260 admissions per year
• An average daily census of five and approximately 2,200 babies are born at the hospital annually
• Attend approximately 40% of deliveries and cover approximately 30% of babies in the newborn nursery
• Perinatology and pediatric cardiology are available by consult.
• This practice has telemedicine capabilities.
• If Level-III exposure is desired, opportunity exists to cross-cover at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Healthcare Center and SUNY Upstate Medical Center at Community General Hospital in nearby Syracuse, New York
• St. Joseph’s Hospital is a teaching institution with a residency program
• The practice at St. Joseph’s has 3.5 neonatologists and is staffed around the clock by neonatal nurse practitioners
• Possible March availability and onward

Qualifications

• NY license only
• Board Certification in Neonatology with recent experience required
