We are looking for several Pharmacy Technicians in Metro Detroit.
Location: Metro Detroit
Schedule: Varying Shift- Days / Evening / Some weekends
Experience: 1 year as a Pharmacy tech in Retail or LTC facility
Licensure: Active pharmacy technician license
Responsibilities:
1. Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications to patients accurately and efficiently.
2. Process medication orders and prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
3. Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
4. Prepare and package medications for distribution to inpatient and outpatient departments.
5. Manage inventory levels of medications and supplies, including ordering and restocking as needed.
6. Verify insurance information and process prescription claims.
7. Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
8. Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety guidelines.
9. Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care outcomes.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by pharmacy management.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred.
3. Active pharmacy technician license in the state of Michigan.
4. Minimum of 1 years of experience working as a pharmacy technician in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
8. Proficiency in pharmacy software and computer systems.
9. Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and procedures.
10. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
