Infusion nurses perform nursing-related procedures within patient homes and in the ambulatory infusion suite in compliance with regulatory and industry standards and organizational policies and procedures. The infusion nurse provides direct patient care to infusion therapy patients and is responsible to assess actual and potential patient problems, as well as planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in coordination with the pharmacist.
