The main purpose of the Inventory Supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the operations of the Inventory Department and ensure the proper movement and accuracy of inventory.

Responsibilities & Duties

Supervise Inventory Department

• Train and coach employees on all job functions to ensure all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) targets are met.
• Manage employee performance and conduct quarterly performance reviews.
• Ensure employees follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations in terms of health and safety.
• Participate in the interviewing process for new hires.
• Organize daily team meetings to discuss objectives for safety, goals, and other pertinent issues.
• Prepare daily status reports for productivity of subordinates.

Manage Inventory

• Manage the movement of bulk material within Medisca and at 3PL to insure accurate inventory utilizing MEDWMS/SYSPRO.
• Monitor bulk short expiry material and transfer accordingly each month.
• Ensure cycle counts are completed in accordance with procedure for finished goods.
• Process all incoming supply chain transfer (SCT) shipments with accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinate with Customer Service to resolve any discrepancies in inventory levels.
• Ensure that annual and bi-annual inventory audits are conducted.
• Analysis and Investigation of discrepancies and removal of damaged product.
• Consolidate and arrange bin placement of bulk and finished goods.
• Carry out bin location surveys and perform cycle counts.
• Combine and arrange bin placements daily.
• Support health and safety and Spill Team initiatives.

Additional responsibilities

• Conduct service calls for warehouse machinery (i.e. forklift, pallet jack)
• Assist in daily inventory functions

Travel: Availability to travel for training as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required college and university an asset.
• Five (5) years experience in a supervisory role.
• Three (3) years warehouse experience.
• Forklift experience required (certification within first month of employment through Medisca).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required, Syspro/Vintara an asset.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations required.
• Knowledge of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations an asset.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Excellent planning, organizing and time management skills.
• Conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent communication skills required; fluent English (oral & written).
• Strong work ethic; integrity, reliable.
• Availability to work on weekends when needed.
