Job Description
The experienced Android developer to join our technology team will play a key role in maintaining current native mobile apps, as well as engineering new applications for all of our products. The developer will help influence our development stack to create enterprise-level applications on the Android platform. This person will solve challenging technical problems and maintain good communication with the rest of the team as well as with upper management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Android and how it will work with MedInformatix and our clients' requirements.
Responsibilities:

• Participate in application design, architecture, and development
• Work closely with server team to define new features and capabilities
• Optimize interface for rendering on multiple devices
• Develop Android application interface
• Help architect and develop solutions for enterprise-level challenges such as supporting multiple clients with reskinnable codebases, registration/authentication with shared backends, interfacing with video backends, players, and APIs, interface with layout and CMS driven APIs, and helping ensure timely delivery with reusable reliable code
• Participate in code reviews, test plan reviews, and documentation reviews
• Lead and participate in team meeting to help improve development process

Qualifications: *

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject
• 3 or more solid years experience in native Android development experience
• Knowledge and experience with RxJava/RXAndroid and MVVM architecture
• Experience with Android SDK, Kotlin, and working with remote data via REST and JSON
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development agile life cycle
• collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Participate in regular code reviews and software planning/retrospectives
