Description:SummaryInterviews incoming patient or representative and enters information required for
admission by performing the following duties.
Requirements:QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill,
and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals
Education And/or Experiencewith disabilities to perform the essential functions.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; six to twelve
Months Related Experience And/or Training Preferred.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.
Interviews patient or representative to obtain accurate demographics.
Explains hospital regulations such as visiting hours, payment of accounts, and schedule of
charges.
Verification and eligibility of insurance benefits
Enters patient information and routes completed paperwork to appropriate departments.
Obtains signed statement from patient to protect hospital's interests.
Accepts and stores patient valuables when necessary.
Receives payments on account.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
