Summary: Under supervision, provides basic nursing assistance and assistsresidents with daily living activities. These individuals have completed the 8hour online certification course and pass facility competency skills checklist.

Qualifications:
Education :
*Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licenses/Certification:

*Pass8 hour online certification course
*Passfacility competency skills checklist

Essential Functions:* Perform tasks under the directsupervision of a nurse or independently if competency is validated
* Competency areas are
* Personal safety and Emergency Care
* Documentation and Core Nursing Skills
* Positioning, Moving and Restorative Care
* Nutrition and Elimination
* Advanced and Specialty Care Environments
* Comfort Care and End of Life
* Assists residents with grooming,oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
* Obtains food trays and assistsresidents with feeding.
* Assists resident with turning and positioning inbed
* Assists resident with ambulation for shortdistance in facility.
* Takes and records temperature,blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake andoutput, as directed.
* Performs other tasks asassigned..
* Reports to Charge Nurse ordesignee on progress/lack of progress in achieving restorative goals. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergencysituations.
*Ability to communicate effectively with residents andtheir family members, and facilitystaff.
