About the Team:
You will report to our Client Services Principal who oversees West Coast Medical Device. We are a fully remote team, based on the West Coast. Travel is expected to our local California and New York offices, and to assigned clients when applicable. As a Director, you do not directly manage team members, however you will mentor more junior staff.
Responsibilities: Your responsibilities primarily fall into three categories; Revenue, Client Satisfaction, People & Process
Revenue:
* Identify new business opportunities within assigned accounts
* Manage full scope of project and financials (including forecasting, project budget, and accuracy of invoicing)
* Support development of sales orders and change orders
Client Satisfaction:
* Participate in program governance, and manage the professional services relationship
* Ensure overall client satisfaction through proactive management
* Lead client and internal meetings ensuring prompt and appropriate follow-up
* Manage issues and guide resolution
* Oversee risk mitigation and contingency planning
* Deliver workshops
People & Process:
* Collaborate with internal and external resources to achieve defined objectives
* Generate and preserve accurate and current project documentation
* Assure compliance with Medidata's standard project management methodologies, quality management system
* Coach new and junior team members
* Identify process improvements and guide strategy adoption
Qualifications:
* 4-year college degree or equivalent
* Minimum of 8 years experience in clinical/biomedical or software development environment
* Work independently in a remote workplace
* Act in an advisory capacity
* Ability to anticipate and mitigate complex issue and risks thus minimizing escalations
* Ability to mentor other team members and serve as a team leader
* Ability to identify and suggest improvements which increase the value proposition for Medidata and the client
* Knowledge of Medidata (or similar) products commensurate with requirements of the Engagement Director role
* Possess all inclusive understanding of clinical research (pharma/device/biotech) and of clinical research SaaS technology
* Experience solidly communicating to internal and external customers (both verbal and written)
* Experience prioritizing tasks and opportunities
* Experience leading project teams through collaboration, teamwork, and meeting defined timelines
* Experience creating and delivering presentations competently with current software technologies
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses. The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $114,750-157,962.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is $121,500-162,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Metro Area is $113,250-151,00.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $101,250-135,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $102,750-147,021.
