MISSION:  Medicines360 is a nonprofit pharmaceutical organization whose mission is to catalyze equitable access to medicines & devices through product development, policy advocacy, and collaboration with U.S. and global partners.

ABOUT MEDICINES360: Based in San Francisco, Medicines360’s focus is on expanding access to quality medicines for all women, regardless of socioeconomic status, insurance coverage, or geography. Our approach starts with understanding women’s unmet health needs and gaps in access, developing quality women’s products to fill those gaps, and engaging in values aligned collaborations and partnerships to help distribute and market these medicines in the US and globally. Revenues from commercial partnerships are then reinvested into advocacy, education, and research and development of other products to further expand access. Medicines360 is proud to be a leader in expanding access to quality medicines for women. Duration: (3-6 months)

Hours: 15/20 week

Location: SF/ Remote/ Hybrid

Will report to: Director of Marketing and Communications

Starting: Summer 2024 (May/ June)

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated Marketing Intern to join our dynamic team and assist with various marketing initiatives within the medical devices sector. The ideal candidate will have a passion for healthcare, strong communication skills, and a desire to learn and grow in the field of marketing. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Medtech field and contribute to the success of our marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Marketing and Communications in supporting the promotional marketing plan, which includes digital, social media, customer outreach, content creation, and websites.
  • Assist with the creation and distribution of marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, and product documentation.
  • Support the organization and coordination of marketing events, tradeshows, and conferences.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing metrics and data to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and make recommendations for optimization.
  • Provide administrative support to the marketing team as needed, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and organizing files and documents.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in/recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s degree program in public health, business administration, public policy, public administration, or similar field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Interest in the healthcare industry and Medtech marketing.
  • Previous internship or work experience in marketing or healthcare is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • The person in this position may need to occasionally move throughout the office to attend meetings in different rooms.
  • Continuously operates a computer and occasionally uses other office productivity machinery, such as copy machine, and computer printer
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
