Medicare Insurance Call Center Sales Agent (Market Producer)

MedicareCompareUSA, formed in 2011, is the nation’s largest Medicare insurance-solution network for national, multistate, and community hospital systems and physician groups. The company helps Medicare beneficiaries select a health plan that is accepted by their existing hospital and doctors through the establishment of dedicated Helplines that provide free and unbiased information about the health plan options available in their community.

Your Role

As a Market Producer, you'll serve as a trusted expert on all things Medicare insurance-related and have access to the nation's best insurance carriers. Your goal will be to match customers with an insurance plan that fits their needs and budget.

You will primarily handle pre-screened inbound calls or set appointments from consumers interested in saving on their Medicare expenses and optimizing their benefit coverage while also helping build your client portfolio through outbound consumer engagement efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and identify insurance needs of MedicareCompareUSA customers over the phone.
  • Effectively and compliantly sell health insurance plans and products to customers.
  • Provide excellent customer service, as the face of our business.
  • Guide consumers through the health insurance policy selection and application process.

Requirements/Skills:

  • Active or able to activate valid health insurance agent license in good standing in every state in which licensed.
  • Willing to add additional state health insurance licenses.
  • Medicare knowledge is required with a minimum of one year of Medicare sales and one Annual Enrollment Period preferred.
  • Quickly grasp new concepts and product offerings, such as Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Prescription Drug Plans, and other ancillary health products.
  • Maintain call productivity and metrics per goals set.
  • Learn and maintain the required product expertise, demonstrate thorough knowledge of products, and ensure clear, concise, and accurate communication of product information with target audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extremely coachable and always striving to improve.
  • Must safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality by following the guidelines set forth in the Privacy and Security Rules of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office, with a focus on multi-tasking.

Your Compensation

Our first-year Market Producers make an average of $60,000 to $85,000. Your total compensation is uncapped so the sky’s the limit!

The compensation range described above is the range of potential total compensation (base pay and any bonus potential) that MedicareCompareUSA believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
