Job Description:

We are a well-established independent pharmacy seeking a highly skilled and motivated compounding pharmacy technician to join our team. As a vital member of our pharmacy staff, you will play a crucial role in assisting our pharmacists in providing exceptional care and service to our valued patients. Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing prescription medications and over-the-counter products
• Prepare and label prescriptions with appropriate dosage instructions
• Manage inventory and stock medications, ensuring proper storage and rotation
• Process insurance claims and resolve any issues or discrepancies
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries, addressing concerns, and offering knowledgeable advice
• Maintain patient profiles and records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and pharmacists to optimize patient care
• Perform medication compounding and packaging as required
• Adhere to all relevant pharmacy regulations and best practices
• Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training

Qualifications:

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training is a plus
• Proven experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or independent pharmacy setting
• In-depth knowledge of pharmacy procedures, regulations, and pharmaceutical calculations
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using pharmacy software and technology (Pioneer Rx)
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings as needed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Physical setting:

• Outpatient

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends

Experience:

• Pharmacy technician experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Preferred)
