Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team, family-owned and operated Medical Weight Loss clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical procedures, patient care, and administrative tasks within a medical setting.
Duties:
- Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, assisting with examinations, and administering medications
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with medical coding
- Provide patient education on procedures, medications, and overall health management
- Assist healthcare providers with various medical procedures, such as EKGs and drawing blood
- Handle patient inquiries and ensure a high level of customer service
- Adhere to infection control and patient confidentiality policies
Requirements:
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist in patient care
- Proficiency in medical terminology for accurate documentation
- Ability to perform basic life support measures in emergency situations
- Experience in medication administration
- Prior experience working in a clinical setting is preferred
