Must be self-motivated, organized, great working with the public, compassionate and committed
to pursuing health.
Responsibilities include:
1) Triages patients and prepares them for their visit with the provider
2) Reviews and interprets the providers' notes and recommendations and then discusses it with the patient after their visit
3) Provides teaching and education to the patients
4) Assists with answering medical questions and concerns from the patients
5) Communicates with patients through an online portal system, face to face, and by phone
6) Coordinates care between the provider and the patient
7) Collaborates with providers and other team members
8) Assists with medication refills
9) Prepares and Administers IV formulas and medications
10) Performs assigned treatments
11) Operates and maintains medical equipment
12) Sets up rooms and equipment for treatments and procedures
13) Obtains labs and specimens
14) Documents medications, supplements, treatments, and any patient care updates
15) Performs miscellaneous duties as needed
16) Assists with coverage for other staff members
17) Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly work environment
18) Provides a compassionate environment by providing physical and psychological support to
patients and their family members
19) Accurately follows and carries out established procedures and protocols
20) Maintains and protects patient confidentiality
21) Attends scheduled staff meetings
22) Maintains skill competence, and assumes responsibility for professional development and on-going education
