Position: Telemetry Preceptor RN

Contract Length: 51 weeks

Start Date: June 17, 2024

Shift: 12-hour nights, every other weekend, rotating holidays. Initial 8-week onboarding period will require day shift for training new grads (2-3 times per 51 weeks).

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Job Responsibilities:

• Train and mentor new graduates and new nurses in telemetry care.
• Oversee and guide the use of cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Milrinone, Cardizem, Nitro, Cardene, and Bumex.
• Ensure adherence to AHA BLS and ACLS standards; NIH preferred.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of telemetry experience with specific experience in cardiac drips.
• At least 2 years of preceptor experience.
• Active California RN license.
• Proficiency with Allscripts EMR system.

Certifications Required:

• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
