Summary:

Assists in the delivery of patient care management. Reports directly to Nursing Supervisor and/or Physicians.

Responsibilities:

- Able to set up patients in an exam room, review their medical history, explain procedures and consent patient for procedures.

- Able to set-up for all procedures with proper instruments and forms to be completed.

- Assist physician while in exam room with procedures

- Able to assist in excisions

- Able to perform wound dressings and give post op instructions to patients

- Able to complete 90% of patient charting

- Fill out lab forms and requisition forms correctly.

- Able to schedule patients for procedures or various appointments.

- Clean, package and sterilize instruments

- Maintains patient confidentiality and follow HIPPA protocols

- Knowledgeable about OSHA protocols

- Other tasks as assigned

- Start IV

- Pre-op/post-op care

Requirements

• Current RN Certification or LPN
• Basic computer skills, able to type at least 60 wpm, and phone etiquette required.

This is a part-time position. Monday - Thursday Monday 9:30-5:30pm, Tuesday 630am- 5:30 pm. Wed 8 am - 3 pm, Please note when applying for Tuesday hours. Apx 28 hrs/week.
