Medical Mutual Liability Insurance Society of Maryland is Hiring an Intern Near Hunt Valley, MD
- Initial workup assistance: Review select new claims upon opening and write preliminary medical chronologies based on the complaint and initial records. Give the chronology to the Rep, who can use it as the basis for the Facts section. Attend the initial meeting with the Rep and write the meeting memo. Shadow the Rep on the Litigation Management Plan (LMP), reserving and budgeting process.
- Discovery assistance: Attend depo prep sessions, depositions and pre-trial sessions on miscellaneous cases and write summaries for the file with the Claims Rep.
- Trial observation: Shadow Reps to attend a few days of trials.
- Review the bi-weekly Maryland publication regarding proposed and final regulations to see if any regulations will have an affect on Medical Mutual or its insureds.
