Medical Manufacturing Technologies is Hiring a Mechanical Assembler Near Beach, FL

At MMT-SYNEO, our objective is to develop excellence in automation, machine design, material handling, and custom tooling. Each position contributes to the success of the company through accountability, responsiveness, and a solutions-oriented mindset. The Assembler IIII position reflects a more experienced skillset and is important to the manufacturing process in that they build mechanical assemblies as well as perform soldering and electrical wiring functions. The Assembler III prepares and completes work by studying assembly instructions, parts lists, blueprints, and schematics to produce the assembled product.

JOB DUTIES

Essential Job Functions:

The Assembler III will provide reliable and timely support in the building of electro-mechanical assemblies as follows:

● Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and electrical/wiring schematics.

● Ability to read and follow POD production order descriptions to assemble finished product.

● Ability to analyze mechanical and operational aspect of tools and equipment use to assemble product.

● Ability to identify and gather parts required for the project.

● Ability to follow oral and written instructions from engineers and supervisor on process changes.

● Ability to install and assemble electrical wires as well as perform soldering functions per product.

● Ability to download programs to required equipment.

● Ability to inspect product per engineering specification to ensure proper assembly.

● Ability to troubleshoot problems, identify problems and communicate issues to supervisor or engineering.

● Ability to recommend ECR engineering request to improve process.

● Ability to write assembly procedures on final product.

● Comply with all other duties as needed to assist the company in attaining its objectives

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position primarily involves use of fine motor skills for calibration of equipment. Will also involve placement of product on carts to push to Applications Department for testing. Good vision is required for reading of diagrams and for higher level wiring projects. Process may require sitting or standing in the same position for long periods of time as needed to assemble a particular product.

SKILLS

● Experience with pickhead molding process – is a plus

● Conducts quality control checks.

● Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.

● May assist less experienced team members with knowledge and expertise.

● Strong attention to detail a must to ensure top quality in a timely manner

● Must have a CAN DO attitude to drive projects through to completion

● Ability to read and write English

● Able to function in a dynamic, fast paced, environment

QUALIFICATIONS

● EXPERIENCE – 5 years of related experience preferred

Verification of most recent pay will be a condition of employment. Candidates will be expected to provide most current paystub.

● EDUCATION – High School Diploma or equivalent required, technical school experience preferred

Verification of education may be required as a condition of employment. Candidates will be expected to provide a copy of their degree or transcripts.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position will perform work at a workstation which may involve sitting or standing for long periods of time. Workstations will be located on the Production floor which, on occasion, may be exposed to mechanical, chemical, and/or electrical hazards. Each employee is to maintain a clean and safe workplace to remove, as much as possible, any hazards which may exist. This position may require the ability to work overtime as needed to maintain the production flow.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
