Medical Group Alaska is Hiring a NURSE PRACTITIONER EXEMPT Near Wasilla, AK

Position Description: Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with chronic pain conditions, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.
2. Help to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on a thorough understanding of each patient's unique needs and goals.
3. Perform various interventional pain management procedures, such as knee injections, trigger point injections, and Botox for migraines, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
4. Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and optimize patient care.
5. Provide education to patients and their families regarding pain management strategies, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
6. Orders and interprets diagnostic test results.
7. Prescribes medications and therapies as appropriate.
8. Makes appropriate referrals for consultations.
9. Responds to telephone inquiries of patients in a timely manner.
10. Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical records system.
11. Participate in regular team meetings, case reviews, and continuing education to stay updated on the latest advancements in pain management.
12. Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing healthcare practices.
Qualifications:
1. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program or Nurse Practitioner program
2. Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Alaska or willingness to obtain.
3. Must be current with Continuing Medical Education Credits
4. Proficiency in performing interventional pain management procedures or willingness to learn.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
