Duties of the Quality Assurance Specialist/Nurse Educator :
- Directs the orientation program for all new employees and schedules ongoing coordinated education in-services.
- Evaluates resident care practices throughout the facility and identifies instructional needs.
- Design educational programs commensurate with needs.
- Documents all programming as required by state standards and maintains a reference library.
- Provides specialized training needs in all departments on request of Department Heads.
- Notifies Department Heads about scheduling of required staff education, immunizations, and additional department education.
- Administers and records licensed staff competencies.
Qualifications for Quality Assurance Specialist/Nurse Educator.
- Valid RN license
- 2 years experience as a Nurse Educator/Staff Development Coordinator.
