Durable Medical Equipment Retail Store Manager
Durable medical equipment company seeks retail location manager.
JOB SUMMARY: Ensures for overall store management, excellent customer service & satisfaction, sales and profitability goals and effective staff management. Defines excellent customer service while maintaining outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.

  • ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible to maintain customer service protocols to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Greets and assists customers. Maintains excellent customer relations.
  • Establishes operational procedures for activities such as processing customer sales and return transactions, verification of incoming and outgoing product shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping inventory current.
  • Maintains the store in a clean, neat, and orderly manner at all times. • Defines expectations for the physical condition of the store and inventory and holds assigned staff accountable for compliance.
  • Ensures store is well-merchandised, window displays are rotated timely and all products contain price tags.
  • In collaboration with the Administrator, establishes policy and procedures for all retail operations.
  • Responsible for training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff. • Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits and proposes innovative ideas to increase market share.
  • Responsible to maintain store inventories and purchases.
  • In collaboration with the Administrator, ensures appropriate par levels for all inventory items are established, maintained and adjusted as patterns of demand change.
  • Identifies staffing to meet care and service needs required of the store.
  • Ensures all staff are appropriately qualified and trained for their positions and in collaboration with the Administrator establishes standards of competencies for each position.
  • Ensures that competency evaluations are performed for all Customer Service Specialist during orientation period and at least annually thereafter.
  • Maintains staff education files to include documentation of orientation, competency records, in-service education, and other continuing education.
  • Ensures accurate coding of invoices and timely submission to accounts payable within established time frame. •
  • In collaboration with the Administrator, directs the development, maintenance and implementation of agency forms, policies, procedures and staff and customer training materials.
  • Ensures accurate input into point-of-sale software of all information and reports are accurately produced and reconciled.
  • Ensures complaints are investigated, service recovery actions implemented, applicable logs maintained, trending reports completed and reported to Administrator.
  • Coordinates with warehouse office staff and Medical Equipment/Warehouse Coordinator to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Effectively tracks advertising efforts and identifies trends to direct marketing campaigns. • Responsible for register reconciliation and ensuring proper daily bank deposits. Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED, required. • Bachelor’s degree in management or related area preferred. • Three (3) to Four (4) years’ experience in retail management, retail merchandising, inventory control and distribution required, durable medical equipment/medical supplies experience preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License with no more than six points in the past 2 years and have current automobile insurance coverage. Ability to work unsupervised in the field, exercising discretion and independent judgment.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations, as well as documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, patients/families or employees. • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. • Ability to operate computers and other common office machines, with working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel and other software appropriate to positions.
