Mobile Coordinator/Driver

SUMMARY:

A mobile dental/medical coordinator/driver who transports the RV and various mobile units as well as staff to surrounding areas in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner. This role will also be required to assist with light office duties and will follow directions from the Director of Patient Relations/Patient Engagements and any Medical or Dental Provider. Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and other staff.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Transport staff in a safe and professional manner.
• Provide driving services to different addresses and through different routes in a safe and reliable manner while adhering to DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Complete vehicle maintenance inspection prior to daily vehicle usage to ensure safe and comfortable.
• Complete logs and reports as needed and schedule vehicle for preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer and/or agency prescribed schedules.
• Assist with light office duties on the vehicle and as needed.
• Maintain a professional behavior, and attitude in regards to colleagues and patients.
• Capable of understanding directions and the ability to read and use maps accurately.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

• One-year previous experience operating an RV, bus or van transport.
• Hold a valid driver’s license in the State of Georgia.
• Required to submit Motor Vehicle Report at time of hire and annually.
• Ability to drive in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to function in a team environment.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and an ability to work with a diverse patient population

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to perform all duties with reasonable accommodations.
• Possess dexterity necessary to operate an RV.
• Able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Able to cope with interruptions, be flexible and be a team player.
• Possesses sight/hearing senses, or uses prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
• Possesses flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with other staff members.
• Works out an office environment for long periods of time
• May require bending, stooping, lifting and working in a compact area
• Seeing and reading are required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The Driver position requires interaction with diverse groups, thus working conditions require significant tact and judgment daily. Nearly all work will be outside of the physician office environment.
