Medical Associates of NWA is Hiring a Pediatric Advance Practice Provider (APRN/PA) Near Fayetteville, AR

Northwest Arkansas Pediatrics is a well-established, growing clinic that just celebrated 40 years of taking care of children in Northwest Arkansas.

We have 19 Pediatricians & 3 APRN/PA's in Fayetteville and Rogers. We are looking for an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to assist in walk-in clinic at both locations. Our walk-in clinic sees children with acute illnesses including fever, sore throat, URI symptoms, urinary concerns, sprains/injuries, skin infections, and more.

Two years of Pediatric experience is perferred but not required
Schedule:

  • Full-Time (33hrs-40hrs/wk) Monday-Friday
  • One Saturday/per month (8a-11a)
  • Rotating between Fayetteville & Rogers locations

The salary base of $110,000 annually plus bonus. A CME allowance up to $2,500 will be included in the compensation package.

  • Provides medical care to pediatric patients ages 0-21 years old under the guidance and clinical standards of the Pediatricians
  • Treat children who have minor illnesses, infections, injuries, and acute health problems
  • Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results
  • Prescribe or administer treatments, therapies, medications, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury in children
  • Perform procedures within the providers scope of practice as approved by the Pediatricians
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to obtain information on medical conditions and determine diagnosis
  • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients and parents or guardians
  • Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary Refer patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary
  • Participate in office-approved programs, trainings, and conferences to meet annual CME requirements
  • Actively attend pertinent committee meetings

  • Current CPR and BLS certification
  • Appropriate Undergraduate Degree from an Accredited Facility; Masters or Higher
  • Competence in the use of computers with a Windows-based operating system and electronic medical documentation
  • Additional Requirements by License Type:
    • Current and unrestricted medical license, certificates, and any applicable accreditations
    • Nurse Practitioner must be a current Registered Nurse with license in Arkansas and maintain current certification in Pediatrics. Also required to have current APN Certification in Arkansas with at least 2 years of experience in Pediatrics as an APN
