Medical Air Services Association is Hiring a Licensed Claims Associate Near Plantation, FL

Description

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Plantation, Florida

MASA is seeking a new member to join our dynamic Claims team. As our new Licensed Claims Associate, you'll provide collaborative support to our customers, providers, and partners.

Compensation: $28.00 per hour, plus benefits featuring health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with company match; PTO; and a free MASA membership

Location: 1250 South Pine Island Road, Plantation, FL 33324

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

What You Will Do

Reporting to our Claims Manager, we will count on you to adjust and process claims with attention to detail, compassion, and quality. Your main responsibilities will include:

Claims Review:

  • Set up new claims, create claim forms, scan claims to be processed, and process claims.
  • Interact with providers to obtain additional documents for proper processing.
  • Evaluate coverage for claims submitted.
  • Verify coverage via our internal system and attach support documents to claims.
  • Send out communication acknowledging and explaining the claim adjudication process to members.

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Deliver exceptional support to members, providers, and other departments via phone, email, and chat channels.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, empathy, and active listening skills.

Product Knowledge: 

  • Serve as a MASA product knowledge expert, including member benefit coverage.

What We Need From You

  • Current Florida 6-20 All Lines Adjuster License.
  • Knowledge of medical codes and terminology, billing practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Able to read and understand primary explanation of benefits (EOB) forms.
  • A high school diploma.
  • Previous customer service experience. 
  • Strong computer skills with Excel and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • An ability to organize, prioritize, and execute your work in a manner that meets established claim/recovery service standards and benchmarks.
  • Proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
