Description
The Marketing Analyst will collect, analyze, interpret, store, and present data on sales performance, market research, logistics, mailer response rates, and other divisional KPI metrics to assist leadership with strategic decision-making. The role brings a mathematical, statistical, and technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of data. The role will process, visualize, and present data to highlight trends, uncover opportunities for growth, and create optimization. Be able to manage and refine current reports, work with an IT team to process changes in reports, and create informative, actionable, and repeatable reporting.
Requirements
Marketing Analyst should have 3 years of experience in operations, data analysis, marketing, or strategy. Specific skills and experience required include:
Analytical skills – This role involves extreme attention to detail, interpreting sales, financial, and technological data. Ability to define problems, collect data, identify trends, and draw valid conclusions to accomplish tasks. Conduct, analyze, and interpret detailed data and present results to business owners and stakeholders.
Modeling techniques – Must have an in-depth knowledge of data modeling techniques in Excel to design data analysis, create budgets, and forecast business.
Creative presentation skills – Must have strong creative skills, such as model formatting, email design, presentation templates, and process documentation.
Communication skills – Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Must be able to plan with others and work as a team.
Problem-solving abilities – Should be able to employ creative thinking to research problems and troubleshooting skills to find new ways to support business growth. Must be able to find root causes and suggest solutions that may include new systems and procedures. Should be inquisitive about all aspects of the business.
Organization & time management – Must be organized with strong time-management skills. Must be able to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Computer knowledge – Must be extremely proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Proficiency in SQL, Software Design, Adobe, Google Analytics, and Tableau is recommended.
