Location: Tempe, Arizona, Job Status: Full-time, Monday through Friday; day shift position. As a Site Director, you will be responsible for the conduct of the clinical site. Required to have in-depth knowledge of protocol requirements and ensures that studies are properly conducted per protocol guidelines, departmental standards and good clinical practices as set forth by federal regulations and international guidelines.
Summary Description: The Site Director is responsible for leading the Research Site group which includes Physicians and Clinical Research Coordinators. This position will take the lead role in managing the day to day operations of the Research Site, as well as a strategic role in creating and implementing robust clinical trial programs. This position will have responsibility for the oversight of clinical trials across all studies and sites.
Responsibilities:
· Establish a strategic vision and long-range plan for the Research Site.
· Determine the best manner in which to utilize Site resources, and the optimal organization of the Site infrastructure and staff.
· Establish the goals of new trials and projects and also outline the basic standards and processes involved.
· Oversee all legal and regulatory compliance, particularly with regard to patient safety and authorized data use.
· Assembling and managing a Research team.
· Make decisions on selecting and managing Research staff as well as external field contractors.
· Responsible for developing and maintaining SOPs and training guides.
· Ensure consistency and best practices are followed on all processes, protocols, at the Research Site.
· Take a lead role in managing projects and collaborating with Site Staff.
· Provide Staff with appropriate coaching, mentoring and development.
· Responsible for a quality control plan for the clinical trials site monitoring and management.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of pharmaceutical/Biotech clinical development experience.
· Must have experience managing global Phase I-IV trials; project and contract management a plus.
· Proven organizational skills.
· Ability to work without close supervision and to work in a team environment.
· Must have regulatory experience spanning Phase I-IV trials.
· Proven ability to effectively manage a staff.
· Intense drive and organizational expertise are necessary to manage the diverse group of functional activities.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to proactively handle multiple tasks simultaneously are required.
